Comfort Link Plant III, Baltimore, Maryland
Mechanical Construction: HVAC Systems & Chillers Services
The Industrial Facility Project
Comfort Link®, formerly a general partnership between Constellation Energy subsidiary Baltimore Gas and Electric Company and EMCOR Group, Inc., has been providing district cooling services to buildings in the downtown Baltimore business corridor since 1996. Its customers include federal, state, and local government buildings, entertainment and retail establishments, commercial office buildings, hotels, hospitals, religious and other non-profit facilities.
In 2001, Comfort Link sought to expand their existing district cooling system in downtown Baltimore with the addition of a third Plant. Plant III, located at the corner of Gay and Baltimore Streets added 16,000 peak tons of cooling. This expansion incorporates chilled water services to Baltimore’s east side, including the City municipal buildings, Baltimore’s Inner Harbor and commercial and entertainment district.
